An Adventuress' Tale

Once upon a time… a long time ago… I had my first taste of wine.

Although it began with something called "Gallo Hearty Burgundy", sold in gallon jugs for a couple of dollars, it was the beginning of a long and wondrous journey into the world of grapes and wine.

Fortunately for me, and all of you, I quickly figured out the difference between "aged on the truck" and "aged in oak".

Thirty years later, after a lot of wine drinking, tasting, and yes, overindulgence, Vine Tales is my way of condensing and sharing my past experiences - and include you in my latest adventures. Vine Tales will take you through the vineyards of the world to explore the mystery, wonder, and beauty of fine wine, offering you true gems that you won't easily, if ever, find in your local wine shop.

Vine Tales will become your Wine Tour, introducing you to wines that are not run-of-the-mill and not "aged on the truck"!

So I invite you to come with us to the countrysides of Australia, France, Italy, Germany, Chile, New Zealand, Spain, South Africa and the USA to discover hidden treasures that are unique and memorable.

Our goal is to take you there, in story, laughter, and fine drink.

And most importantly, we will bring you stunning wines to enhance your food, life and loves.

In the Spring of 2007, Topaz headed off to Australia and passed the Vine Tales torch to me. She'd taught me everything she could (or everything she was likely to tell) about taking care of her "baby" and went on to another new adventure.

I have stayed in contact with Topaz, and tried to make the transition as seamless as I could. I was blessed to have inherited her sommelier, artist, web master, and customers, along with her goodwill.

Our styles may be different, but our goals are the same: we want our customers' experience to be exceptional. We want to guide you to the best wines from the world over - wines you aren't likely to have found on your own, from boutique and undiscovered wineries we hope you'll learn to love.

In upgrading our website, I hope to be able to enhance your experience with us even more. The features available are far beyond what we imagined when the original site was built. But I also hope you will find it familiar, like you've come home to a place you've enjoyed in the past, but with a new coat of paint!

So, don't be shy - come along on our little adventures, learn from our stories and let us show you the wonder of the wine world. Bring a friend! New experiences are always best when shared.
